The current regulations on tuition fees at public universities were introduced in 2013. Generally, the fees are EUR 363.36 per semester – this applies to Austrian, EU and EEA citizens, and students with equivalent status.

However, there are lots of exemptions, meaning that some students at public universities do not have to pay tuition fees. Universities of applied sciences can decide independently whether to charge tuition fees or not.

The same for all: Austrian National Union of Students (ÖH) membership dues

Every semester, students have to pay the mandatory ÖH membership dues, regardless of whether they pay tuition fees or not. These dues are currently EUR 24.70, which includes a wide range of services, such as third party liability insurance for students.

Tuition fees at IMC Krems

Although IMC Krems is a public university, it is managed by a private company called IMC Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften Krems GmbH, which is responsible for collecting tuition fees.
